Mission Statement: Our vision for Advent is to be a dynamically
growing, spiritually healthy and exciting church, reaching out to the community
through the love of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Advent Episcopal Church is a church guided by God?s purposes. In essence, our
Christian community exists to celebrate God?s presence through worship
(Ps. 34:3); to educate God?s people through opportunities for discipleship
(Eph. 4:12b-13); to congregate God?s family through various forms of
nurturing fellowship (Eph. 2:19); to demonstrate God?s love through lay
ministry (Eph. 4:12a); and to communicate God?s word through internal and
external evangelism (Acts 1:8).
