Welcome to our weekly call to prayer and fasting!
Last week I asked for responses from the folks on our mailing list regarding continuing this initiative. Many of you responded and I appreciate that so much…so we will continue to lift up our nation, seeking the Lord to move on our behalf.
As you receive words or scriptures during your prayer time, please send them my way.
This week’s focus: revival, personal and national:
DEFINITION: Revival is God pouring Himself on His people. “I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh” (Joel 2:28). “Times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19).
CONDITIONS OF REVIVAL: “If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (II Chron. 7:14).
FOUR CONDITIONS: What we must do.
1. Humble: Confess
2. Pray: Intercession
3. Seek my face: Commitment
4. Turn from wicked ways: Repent
THREE RESULTS. What God will do.
I will hear: Not reject our prayer.
I will forgive: Cleanse.
I will heal their land: Transform culture.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN “HEAL OUR LAND”?
1. Deal with sin.
2. Protect from ungodly influence.
3. Bless godly endeavors.
4. Use the testimony of believers.
5. Guide the re-establishment of biblical principles.
WHAT CAN I DO TO BRING REVIVAL?
• Fast and pray for revival.
• Stay involve with others who are seeking revival.
• Maintain personal state of revival
• Pray for national leaders. “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” (I Tim. 2:1-4).
Lord Jesus bless you this week!
